PolySpot Sense Builder

Dedicated, asynchronous structuring and enrichment platform

Digest the raw data to make it usable, make sense of the information collected

Newly generated data, devoid of context, is meaningless and unusable for users and decision makers.
PolySpot Sense Builder is a conversion and enrichment module enabling synchronous or asynchronous processes to standardize and add context to raw data in order to produce immediately usable information to users.

By crossing different repositories, this enrichment promotes and accelerates the dissemination and sharing of valuable information within organisations.

To improve the search relevancy and experience downstream extraction processes, PolySpot Sense Builder – built on the latest technologies, based on semantic Web and natural language processing - asynchronously and gradually enriches raw data coming from PolySpot Silo Breaker. The module offers an open API to integrate complementary processes provided by third technology partners.

PolySpot Silo Breaker serves three purposes:

  • Conversion processes (split, merge, override, numeric/date/text operators);
  • Data enrichment and standardisation processes via a rule engine based on internal and external repositories (thesauruses, classification systems, professional or geographical databases, etc.);
  • Semantic enrichment (named entity extraction, term extraction, classification plan and sentiment analysis).

Once processed, the data is stored in PolySpot InfoWarehouse, an interoperable, standardised, enriched information warehouse. The data can then be published to search applications. By storing the data upstream of the indexes in this way, the system retains a level of update versatility that would not be possible with an index alone.

Versatility and performance

PolySpot Sense Builder is capable of both guaranteeing instant information availability and handling heavy processing workloads, successfully contextualising raw data and offering unrivalled search capabilities.

It also combines the performance of an index and the versatility of a semi-structured database. It is based on a unique architecture, capable of managing a variety of processes in both synchronous and asynchronous mode, including:

  • Batch or asynchronous processing, combining real-time updates and gradual data enrichment

  • High-performance search services capable of handling multiple simultaneous queries and high index volumes
  • Distribution extraction processes to keep network traffic to a minimum.
